Medical Camp Held at Kattankudy Elders Home
A medical camp was recently held at the Kattankudy Elders Home, organized by the Divisional Secretariat Kattankudy to support the health and wellbeing of the elderly residents. The programme was carried out under the guidance of Mr. Najimudeen, SSO, with the main focus on checking both the physical health and mental wellbeing of the elders.
Mrs. Nihara Mawjood, Divisional Secretary of Kattankudy, attended the programme as the Chief Guest. Her presence added great value to the event and reflected the importance of caring for elders with respect, kindness, and responsibility.
The medical camp gave the elders an opportunity to receive health checks, mental wellbeing assessments, guidance, and support in a caring environment. It also helped identify areas where further care and attention may be needed to improve their overall quality of life.
This meaningful initiative showed the continued commitment of the Divisional Secretariat Kattankudy and the Kattankudy Elders Home towards improving the quality of life of senior citizens. It served as a reminder that regular care, attention, and community support are essential in helping elders live with dignity and happiness.
