Khatmul Qur’an and Special Du’a Programme Held at Kattankudy Muslim Elders Home

As part of the Annual Blood Donation Camp organised in honour of International Elders’ Day 2026, Kattankudy Muslim Elders Home held a Khatmul Qur’an and special Du’a programme on Sunday, 4 October 2026, following Fajr prayers.

The programme provided an opportunity for prayer and spiritual reflection ahead of the day’s blood donation activities. Special Du’as were offered for all blood donors, recognising their generosity and willingness to contribute towards saving lives through this meaningful initiative.

The programme was also attended by Alhaj M. C. M. Sheriff, SLAS, former Divisional Secretary of Kattankudy. His presence and participation added further significance to the occasion and were greatly appreciated by the Home.

Following the morning programme, the Annual Blood Donation Camp commenced at 7:30 am and continued until 4:00 pm. The event received a positive response from the community, with a total of 51 individuals donating blood throughout the day.

The Khatmul Qur’an and Du’a programme added spiritual significance to the occasion, bringing together faith, compassion and community service. It also reflected the importance of seeking blessings and expressing gratitude to those who dedicate their time and efforts to helping others.

Kattankudy Muslim Elders Home extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who participated in the prayers, donated blood and contributed towards the successful completion of the programme. Such initiatives continue to strengthen community relationships while promoting kindness, generosity and care for others.
