Blood Donation Camp Held at Kattankudy Elders Home on Elders Day 2025

A blood donation camp took place at the Kattankudy Elders Home on Sunday, 05 October 2025, as part of the Elders Day celebrations. This marked the fourth consecutive year that the home organized this special community event in honor of its elders. Many participants from the area joined hands to donate blood, contributing to a cause that saves lives and promotes unity.

Mr. J. S. Arul Raj, the respected Sri Lankan Government Agent and Batticaloa District Secretary, took part in the blood donation. His presence added great value to the occasion and inspired others to participate in this noble cause. As a senior government official, his involvement reflected the importance of community service and encouraged greater public participation. The event truly embodied compassion, generosity, and a shared sense of responsibility within the community.

The Kattankudy Elders Home continues to play an important role in promoting social welfare and community service. Organizing such a program during Elders Day symbolizes gratitude and respect toward the elderly while also supporting public health efforts through blood donation. The home’s continued dedication over the past four years has strengthened community bonds and inspired many to contribute positively to society.
